TerraPay Group, a leading global cross-border payments network, announced the appointment of Louise Brett as an independent director of Terra Payment Services (UK) Limited (TerraPay UK). Louise has a wealth of experience and a distinguished career in the financial services industry.
In this role, Louise will serve as a vital liaison between TerraPay, the financial ecosystem as a whole, and TerraPay’s stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of governance, diversity and inclusion, and a culture of compliance. With extensive experience in fintech and financial services, she will bring a unique perspective to the board, enhancing TerraPay’s governance model in line with the company’s growth and ambitions.
Louise’s career includes serving as Vice Chair of Deloitte UK and Head of Fintech and Financial Services Innovation at Deloitte Europe. She has been a driving force in shaping Deloitte’s response to the rise of fintech, promoting financial inclusion and catalyzing local fintech on the global stage. Her strategic vision, hands-on approach and commitment to inclusive leadership have set her apart as a leader in the industry. She has worked across the ecosystem with financial services clients, government agencies, regulators, advisors, venture capital and the entire fintech community. As a former banker and leader, she understands the nuances of balancing strategic vision with the reality of a highly regulated sector. Louise strongly believes in the power of inclusive leadership and diversity of thought to achieve superior long-term success.
As Chair of the Board and Risk and Compliance Committee (GRC) of TerraPay UK, Louise will play a key role in ensuring the company’s governance model evolves to reflect TerraPay’s decisions and enhance its reputation. Her experience will provide the necessary challenges and guidance, situational awareness and horizon scanning to support TerraPay’s strategic narrative and long-term success.

Moreover, the company has received authorization as an electronic money institution ( EMI ) in Italy and intends to expand its activities in the country, and then throughout the EU.
