Usage Data

· Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
· Usage Data may include information such as Your Device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
· When you access the service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
· We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our service or when you access the service by or through a mobile device.

A)If you provide us with the personal data of any other person when using our Site, it is your responsibility to ensure you have gained consent from that person to transfer their personal data to us.

If you interact with us on social media or use features such as plugins, widgets, or other tools made available by social media platforms or networks, we may collect information that you share with us on social media or that such platforms share with us. How Do We Use Your Data?

1) All personal data is processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with our obligations and safeguard your rights under the GDPR at all times. For more details on security see section 7, below.

2) Our use of your personal data will always have a lawful basis, either because it is necessary for our performance of a contract with you, because you have consented to our use of your personal data (e.g. by subscribing to emails), or because it is in our legitimate interests. Specifically, we may use your data for the following purposes:
a) Providing and managing your access to our Site;
b) Personalising and tailoring your experience on our Site;
c) Supplying our services to you (please note that we require your personal data in order to enter into a contract with you);
d) Replying to emails from you;
e) Supplying you with emails that you have opted into (you may unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of each email or you may opt-out at any time by emailing us directly);
f) Analysing your use of our Site to enable us to continually improve our Site and your user experience.

We will not, however, send you any unsolicited marketing or spam and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that we fully protect your rights and comply with our obligations under the GDPR act of UAE.

HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal Information You Provide

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly. This may include, but is not limited to, information you provide:

  • When you contact us via phone, email or text message, or through other internet-enabled communications;
  • When you subscribe to one of our print or digital Services;
  • When you register to become a member of the site or create a user profile;
  • When you register for one of our live or virtual events;
  • On your member profile page and public profile URL (for example, if you choose to add content to your profile page, such as photos, videos or other information about you and your interests);
  • To enter into a sweepstakes, contest, or promotion, or to apply for consideration in connection with a INTLBM list or similar accolade (e.g., Under 30 list applications);
  • When you otherwise voluntarily provide us with personal information on or through the properties.

You always have the option not to provide the information we request. If you choose not to provide the information we request, you can still access and use the web pages.  If you wish to provide user information to us about a third party, such as your friend or colleague, in connection with a referral, gift subscription, recommendation, nomination (e.g., Under 30 list nomination), or other purpose, please only do so if you have the permission of that third party.

– When you register or become a member of INTLBM or provide information to us in any other manner, you agree to provide only true, accurate, current and complete information.

Third-Party Sources

From time to time, we may collect personal information about you from third-party sources including data append services such as public or social graph data, data co-ops for print magazine publishers, or social media websites if you have chosen to connect with your social media which we will use for our business or commercial purposes (for example, in order to contact you and/or to better serve you with content or promotions). However, we will only use this information where these third parties either have your consent or are otherwise legally permitted or required to disclose your personal information to us.

Information from Third-Party Social Media Services

INTLBM allows You to create an account and log in to use the Service through the following Third-party Social Media Services:

  • Google
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn

And others.

If you decide to register through or otherwise grant us access to a Third-Party Social Media Service, we may collect personal data that is already associated with your third-party social media service’s account, such as your name, your email address, your activities or your contact list associated with that account.

You may also have the option of sharing additional information with the INTLBM website through your third-party social media service’s account. If you choose to provide such information and personal data, during registration or otherwise, you are giving INTLBM permission to use, share, and store it in a manner consistent with this privacy policy.

We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

To communicate with you, which may include:

  • To provide and maintain our service, including monitoring the usage of our service.
  • To contact You: To contact you by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application’s push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.

Contacting you about and providing you and our clients with our services.

Responding to your direct inquiries, requests, issues or feedback, and providing customer service;

  • To provide our products and services, which may include:
  • Delivering content and product and service offerings relevant to your interests;
  • Providing a forum for discussion or community for INTLBM loyal visitors of the website, asking questions, posting photos and reviews, and sharing experiences;
  • Considering you for and/or naming you to a INTLBM list or other similar accolade (e.g., Under 30);
  • Organizing and managing live or virtual events;
  • Shipping you our print magazine;
  • Providing INTLBM award winners with online profiles;

  • Identifying trends and making inferences about you and your interactions with us or our affiliates or our business partners;

To support core business functions, which may include:

  • Maintaining records related to business process management, sales, loss and fraud prevention, and to invoice and collect amounts owing to us;
  • Providing and maintaining the functionality of our web pages, including identifying and repairing errors or problems.
  • We may collect information that is not personal information (“non-personal information”), including information lawfully made available from federal, state, or local government records, or aggregate or de-identified information. As a general reminder, please think carefully before you decide to put anything on the Internet. For example, if you voluntarily disclose personal information in chat areas or bulletin boards (e.g., comment sections), that information could be seen and used by others, and may result in unsolicited messages from others. We are not responsible for the information you may choose to submit in these public forums. To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, please contact us using the information provided in the section titled ‘Contact Us’. In some cases, for legal retention purposes or technical limitations (e.g., the data may not be searchable), we may not be able to remove personal information voluntarily disclosed by you in such forums, in which case, we will notify you.

· With respect to how we use ‘Service Data’, we use that information to provide services to our clients.

How Do We Store Your Data?

  1. We only keep your personal data for as long as we need to in order to use it as described above in section 6, and/or for as long as we have your permission to keep it.
  2. Data security is very important to us, and to protect your data we have taken suitable measures to safeguard and secure data collected through our site.

Retention of Your Personal Data

INTLBM will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
INTLBM will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

We may share your personal information in the following situations:

 

  • With service providers: We may share your personal information with service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our service, to contact you.
  • For business transfers: We may share or transfer your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

  • When you share personal information or otherwise interact in public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside.
  • If you interact with other users or register through a Third-Party social media service, your contacts on the Third-Party social media service may see your name, profile, pictures and description of your activity. Similarly, other users will be able to view descriptions of your activity, communicate with you and view your profile.

 

With Your consent:

  • We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
  • We may sometimes use third-party data processors that are located outside of the UAE/Singapore/London. Where we transfer any personal data outside the UAE, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the UAE/Singapore/London and under the GDPR.

In certain circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal data, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with legal requirements, a court order, or a governmental authority.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the ‘Last updated’ date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

Comments

When you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Law enforcement

Under certain circumstances, INTLBM may be required to disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Other legal requirements

INTLBM may disclose your personal data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Handling Complaints from Our Service Users and Regulatory Authorities

We regularly review our compliance with this privacy policy and with any and all industry-recommended best practices, as well as applicable laws and regulations. When we receive a formal written complaint, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up. This is without prejudice to your right to launch a claim with your local data protection supervisory authority.   • You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that we have collected about you.
  • Our service may give you the ability to delete certain information about you from within the service.
