Telness Tech, a leading telecommunications technology provider, is partnering with VAS2Nets and Lebara to launch a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Nigeria. The initiative will introduce a service targeted at the rapidly growing telecommunications market in the African country. The operator will leverage Telness Tech’s software and customer experience and will bring Lebara, an internationally recognized telecommunications brand, to an entirely new region and growing market.

In this ambitious partnership, several international telecommunications companies have joined forces to make this venture possible.

Lebara is one of the world’s most recognized MVNOs, with direct operations in five European markets and brand licenses in five additional countries, including now Nigeria. Telness Tech’s fully automated platform will simplify and automate the new operator, enabling an industry-leading customer experience. Processcom will also play a key role in providing the mobile core infrastructure required for network functionality. Vas2Nets is the lead partner, coordinating all international companies in this joint effort.

Martina Klingvall, CEO and Founder of Telness Tech, expressed her excitement about the collaboration: “This international partnership allows us to bring our cutting-edge telecommunications technology to Nigeria and is an important step in Telness Tech’s rapid international expansion following our recent entry into the US market. Allowing such a well-known brand like Lebara to enter another market, combined with our advanced technology and VAS2Nets’ local expertise, will bring a world-class service to the country’s digital population.”

The multi-year, multi-million-dollar deal includes the launch of pre-paid and post-paid mobile services, with PBX solutions to follow. Telness Tech will provide the critical OSS and BSS platforms, ensuring seamless customer management and operations. VAS2Nets, the main partner, will lead the launch of this new operator, which aims to be one of the first mobile operators in Nigeria.

Teniola Stuffman, Executive Director of Vas2Nets’ Business Development Group, highlighted the importance of collaboration:

“This project enables us to provide the people of Nigeria with a high-quality and affordable mobile service through the combined expertise of VAS2Nets, Telness Tech, Lebara and Processcom. It enables us to offer one of the first new mobile operators in Nigeria in many years, and with the best technology and offerings. It is a great honor to lead this joint effort.”

Daniel Upson, Director of Partnerships at Lebara, commented: “I am very excited about the combination of all these capabilities. Between our brand, Telness Tech’s technology and VAS2Nets’ local expertise, I believe we will deliver a world-class experience for mobile consumers in Nigeria.”
