Mecademic, a specialist in micro automation robots, announces the official launch of its new product line, the MicroDASH series, with the first shipments of the MCS500 SCARA. This innovative 4-axis robot offers unmatched space efficiency, precision, and integration flexibility to accelerate the automation of small component development, testing, and assembly applications.

Industry sources added that this innovative design of the MicroDASH MCS500 enables the smallest SCARA robot in its class. Even with an integrated controller, the MCS500 is still 30% smaller than comparable products.

The MCS500 offers the same 0.005 mm repeatability as the 6-axis Meca500 robot, making it the highest precision on the market. Weighing just 4.3 kg, the MCS500 can also be mounted upside down, offering high integration flexibility.

The official launch follows the successful Early Access program, which led to further development of the robot design and pre-orders from customers and partners in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Rob Seymour, founder and CEO of Seymour Advanced Technologies stated “We tested the MicroDASH MCS500 extensively and immediately recognized the possibilities this robot offers in our micromanipulation, pick-and-place, and assembly applications. We think this robot stands out for its compact design, reliability, and easy integration, especially in applications that require speed and precision. “It’s another great product from Mecademic.”

Industry sources further confirmed that with its robust, precision-machined aluminum housing, battery-free encoders, and high-efficiency motors, this arm ensures lasting quality and flexible integration.
