Syntagma Capital announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Erasteel
The company, which will continue under the Erasteel brand, is a leader in traditional metallurgical and high-speed steel powders used in machining, drilling and cutting tools. Erasteel also has a metal recycling facility in Europe, providing sustainable solutions for batteries, catalysts and metal remanufacturing.
In 2022, the company achieved sales of around 275 million euros, primarily servicing the aerospace, automotive and industrial sectors, from six production plants in France, Sweden and China. The company employs approximately 860 people worldwide.
“Despite a very difficult market in the area of mergers and acquisitions, we continue to find attractive opportunities to build on our capital and provide quick and secure disinvestment solutions. We are excited about the potential of Erasteel and look forward to working with management on the global growth of society,” said Sebastien Kiekert Le Moult, Managing Partner.
“We are delighted to announce the arrival of Kerstin Konradsson at Erasteel as CEO. She brings a very valuable experience in the world of metallurgy after serving as CEO of Boliden Smelters; she has also held various management positions at Okers and SSAB. We also welcome Beatrice Charon, former Vice-President of Strategy at Constellium, to the Advisory Board of Erasteel.
We look forward to leveraging our global experience in metals and extensive technical and research and development know-how, global presence and strong relationships with Erasteel’s customers to further stimulate its growth, both organically and through targeted mergers and acquisitions. We also plan to accelerate the development of the recycling division of Erasteel in France,” said Frank Coenen, Partner.
