ASM Global, one of the world’s leading venue management companies and the world’s leading live event producer, has acquired venue management and management rights to Connect Conference Center, known as C3. This is the company’s second addition to its Dubai portfolio, which includes the iconic Coca-Cola Arena, which opened in 2019.
It will also join what is already the largest portfolio of conference and convention centers on the planet.
Located within Expocity Dubai, C3 has undergone an impressive repositioning following its previous appearance as the Opportunity Pavilion during the historic Expo 2020.
C3 is poised to play a pivotal role in hosting various meetings, conferences, and cultural gatherings as part of the upcoming COP28. COP28 is scheduled to be held at Expocity Dubai from November 30th to December 12th, 2023.
Sholto Douglas-Home, Chief Sales and Marcom Officer at Expocity Dubai said: “With its distinctive and adaptable space, C3 is a welcome addition to Dubai’s mid-sized venue market. C3 makes Expo City Dubai an exciting option for business, entertainment, and community events. The Opportunity Pavilion was a popular destination at Expo 2020, and we look forward to seeing it reinvigorated as a vibrant hub for a growing city.”
Harvey Lister, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, of ASM Global, said: “This initiative underscores ASM Global’s unwavering commitment to further strengthen our presence in the MENA region. Our pursuits align seamlessly with the UAE’s consistent expansion and pursuit of excellence in the live events sector. As a pioneer in recognizing the potential within the rapidly expanding complex, we are excited about the opportunities for continued growth.”
The venue’s incredible versatility allows it to host a wide range of events, from summits, conferences, and meetings to dynamic live entertainment shows and exclusive corporate events.
Lister said C3’s importance extends beyond its offerings and will play a central role in the company’s future regional operations and event schedule. ASM Global’s recent success in securing management and operating rights to the venue not only sets the foundation for future expansion plans within Expocity Dubai but also paves the way for its broader growth strategy in the UAE and Middle East. It will also cut it open.
Other Middle East venues operated by ASM Global include Shakir’s Exhibition World Bahrain, Jeddah Arena Airport City, and International Convention Center Jeddah Airport City.
