Amber Specialty Pharmacy announces the appointment of Jessica Ringena as its newest president. Ringena previously served as president of Vivid Clear Rx, a Hy-Vee pharmacy benefit manager and subsidiary.

Known for her strategic leadership in health care, technology, finance and innovation, Ringena will lead the specialty pharmacy in its mission to deliver personalized care to patients who experience chronic and complex conditions. Ringena brings a wealth of experience from her roles at Vivid Clear Rx and Hy-Vee, where she excelled at applying technology to enhance health care outcomes. Her vision for integrating cutting-edge digital solutions aligns with Amber Specialty Pharmacy’s mission to deliver exceptional care to its patients.

“Jessica’s deep understanding of the health care landscape and expertise in digital innovation will be crucial as we further our commitment to patient care and continue to build upon our partnerships with providers, manufacturers and payers at Amber Specialty Pharmacy,” said Aaron Wiese, president of Hy-Vee.

Amber Specialty Pharmacy has been serving patients for 25 years, providing personalized treatment to patients across the U.S. The provider specializes in transplant, infusion and specialty care, including rare/orphan drugs and oncology. Amber Specialty Pharmacy offers a comprehensive care model that includes medication management, therapy-specific counseling, and 24/7 clinical support and was recognized as Specialty Pharmacy of the Year in 2020 by the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy.

Before joining Amber Specialty Pharmacy’s parent company, Hy-Vee, Ringena worked at RSM US, LLP. She started in their Des Moines, Iowa, office in 2003 and over that time worked her way to audit senior manager. In 2015, Ringena joined Hy-Vee as an assistant vice president, financial reporting, and later took on the additional controller role. In 2017, she was promoted to vice president, innovation and business development. She held several influential roles in the following years including senior vice president of finance and business strategy, senior vice president and chief digital officer, and senior vice president and chief revenue officer. In 2022, Ringena was named president of Vivid Clear Rx, Hy-Vee’s newly established pharmacy benefit manager.
