Model, author, and disability-rights advocate Jessica Frew is shaking up the fashion world—this time by taking on an everyday challenge faced by people with disabilities. Recently, she officially launched The Jessica, a stylish drool bib designed for adults, and the flagship product of her new adaptive fashion brand Mad Drool, created in partnership with designer Mari Anderson.

Jessica, 23, lives with cerebral palsy and communicates using a Tobii eye-gaze device. She’s a full-time student majoring in pre-law and criminal justice, works part-time at a law firm, and models and acts in her spare time. She’s also the author of The Nonverbal Princess, a children’s book that’s inspired thousands. But there was one thing that kept frustrating her behind the scenes—drooling, and the lack of stylish, grown-up solutions to manage it.

“I’ve always had a drooling issue, and my family made me bibs—but they didn’t make me feel confident. I didn’t want to look like a baby or a cowgirl,” Jessica shared. “I just wanted something that felt like me.”

That honest request sparked a long-distance creative partnership with Anderson, who Jessica met at a fashion show in 2018. They spent years trading prototypes between New Jersey and Minnesota, refining the design until it was exactly right.

The result? A square, bandana-style bib with a modern cut, trend-forward colors, and zero “medical” vibe. It features a 100% cotton outer layer and an absorbent flannel or terry cloth inner core. It’s durable, washable, and—most importantly—cool.

“Jessica was clear from the start,” said Anderson. “She wanted something that didn’t exist. No compromises. And she gave incredible feedback every step of the way. This product is 100% her spirit and style.”

“The Jessica” is about more than just functionality. It’s about dignity, personality, and feeling seen. “Mad Drool was built to serve people like me who are so often overlooked,” Jessica said. “I want people to feel proud to wear this—not like they have to hide.”

The product is available now at MadDrool official website, and additional styles are already in the works.
