AtomVie Global Radiopharma (AtomVie), a leading global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) in radiopharmacy, on 7 September 2026 celebrated the grand opening of its new, purpose-built, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at 10 Aeropark Boulevard in Hamilton, Ontario. This milestone marks a pivotal moment in AtomVie’s journey to translate clinical success into life-changing precision therapies for patients worldwide.
The 72,300-square-foot facility, representing an investment of over $160 million, is the largest CDMO facility for radiopharmaceutical development at a single site in North America. It enables low- to high-throughput production and increases AtomVie’s manufacturing capacity tenfold. Designed specifically for growth throughout the entire product lifecycle, the facility allows for a seamless transition from early development to commercial radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, with adaptable space to meet future customer needs.
AtomVie is a remarkable success story and a spin-off of the Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization (CPDC), a center of excellence based at McMaster University, established to advance Canada’s leadership in the innovation and manufacturing of radiopharmaceuticals. Today, AtomVie employs a growing team of highly skilled professionals. The company aims to have more than 200 employees by the end of 2026 as it continues to scale up its new site to full operation.

Building on more than a decade of experience and renowned technical expertise in process and analytical method development, AtomVie has supported over 70 clinical development and technology transfer programs, manufactured more than 1,000 cGMP batches, and delivered over 4,400 cGMP doses to patients in 28 countries across six continents – with a delivery success rate exceeding 99%. With its new facility, AtomVie is ideally positioned to scale production from clinical development to commercial manufacturing in partnership with its partners.
“This grand opening marks the next chapter in AtomVie’s story and is a proud milestone for Canadian innovation in nuclear medicine,” said Bruno Paquin, Chief Executive Officer of AtomVie. “Our new, purpose-built facility reinforces our proven track record of reliable global deliveries and our deep scientific expertise, enabling us to support the development and commercialization of our partners’ product pipelines. Most importantly, it advances our goal of transforming patients’ lives by providing high-quality radiopharmaceuticals to those who need them worldwide.”
“The inauguration of AtomVie’s new facility reflects the discipline and dedication of the AtomVie team, as well as the trust of the partners who have supported our growth,” said Kevin McNeill, CEO of AtomVie. “This facility solidifies AtomVie’s status as a leading CDMO for radiopharmaceuticals and is now built at commercial scale to provide partners with the reliability required in this field.”
The opening ceremony was attended by government representatives, customers, partners and members of the radiopharmaceutical industry, who took part in factory tours and learned firsthand how AtomVie’s expertise helps provide patients worldwide with the next generation of precise cancer therapies.
