Bonterra, the iconic name in sustainable wine, is breaking new ground with the launch of Ranch Wine: a bold, breezy trio of lightly effervescent, lower-ABV offerings coming to resort patios and cold boxes near you now. Made from sustainably grown California grapes, Ranch Wine delivers vibrant, flavorful blends crafted for pouring over ice, dressing with fruit, or sipping chilled. The fresh take on wine speaks directly to flexible, flavor-driven occasions beverage fans say are missing from the category.
Ranch Wine debuts with three bright, fruit-forward blends with 11% ABV and no added flavors (SRP USD 14.99 each):
- Pineapple Key Lime – Tropical and zesty with notes of citrus, lime, and a breezy lift of effervescence that keeps things crisp
- Strawberry Hibiscus – Juicy and floral with hints of strawberry, hibiscus, and spice—fresh, bright and perfect to sip or spritz
- Chillable Cherry Wild Raspberry – Bold berry flavor with cherry, raspberry, and citrus notes in a red that’s made to chill.

The name Ranch Wine nods to Bonterra’s home ranch in Mendocino County, California and winks at the rising popularity of drinks meeting today’s growing thirst for relaxed, no-fuss refreshment. Merging Bonterra’s winemaking credibility with the casual, flavor-led energy of ready-to-drink beverages, it offers those who left wine for bold flavor and lower-ABV options a reason to return, while inviting new fans in.
“With Ranch Wine, we saw an opportunity to reimagine the role wine can play—vibrant, flavor-forward, and at home in a cooler full of seltzers and sodas,” said Kate Herbert, Bonterra’s Sr. Director of Marketing. “Survey data show that LDA Gen Z is the first cohort to move away from grape varietal as a top purchase driver when considering wine, instead gravitating to word of mouth, lower alcohol, and fit for casual occasions. Ranch Wine named for flavor, not traditional wine varietals—meets these wine fans where they are.”
Crafted by award-winning Bonterra winemaker Margaret Leonardi-Pruett, Ranch Wine arrives this month in poolside bars, resort patios, and at select national retailers including Sprouts, Albertsons, Safeway, and Total Wine & More, with Target and others to follow.
