Lucid Group, Inc., maker of the world’s most advanced electric vehicles, recently announced that the Android Autosmart driving app is now available in all Lucid Air vehicles through an over-the-air update to Lucid OS 2.7.0. Owners of the award-winning Lucid Air can now seamlessly access their favorite Android smartphone’s maps, media, and messaging apps on the Lucid Air’s glass cockpit via USB or wireless connection.

“Android Auto is one of the most requested features from Lucid owners and we are excited to announce that we have begun rolling out a software update to add this functionality,” said Dr. Jean-Philippe Gauthier , Head of Software Engineering at Lucid. “Android Auto compatibility with the Lucid Air 34-inch Glass Cockpit is part of our commitment to making no compromises in improving driver comfort and usability.”
To use Android Auto in your Lucid Air, you need an Android phone running Android 9.0 or later, an active data plan, and a compatible USB cable. If your phone has Android 11 or later, you can use Android Auto wirelessly without connecting it to your vehicle.
