Virtual Technologies Group (“VTG”), one of the leading IT, security, and cloud services firm providing customized solutions for customers in education, non-profit organizations, manufacturing, healthcare, and the United States federal government, is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Yarrington as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Vice President (EVP) of Technology. Mr. Yarrington will oversee day-to-day operations and scale the firm’s technology and operational capabilities on a national level.
Mr. Yarrington brings over a decade of experience in operations and technical innovation within the managed IT services, cloud, cybersecurity, and technology sectors. He recently served as COO at technology solutions industry leader ECI, where he led a team of more than 550 people to stabilize the firm’s workforce and expand its operations into global markets.

Prior to his role at ECI, Mr. Yarrington served as COO and interim CEO at Nuspire, a cybersecurity and network management company now named PDI Security and Network Solutions. Before Nuspire, he held various senior leadership roles managing technical operations at IBM Watson Health, Explorys, and Truven Health Analytics. He has also worked as an independent managed services industry advisor, consulting several private equity firms on due diligence and strategies for acquisitions in the managed service provider industry.

Mr. Yarrington joins VTG at a pivotal moment, as it continues to grow into new regions and sectors. Last year, with strategic capital from parent company Jacmel Partners, VTG acquired Quotient, Inc., an IT solutions provider focused on U.S. Federal agencies.
Mr. Yarrington holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Math from Cornell University, a Master of Public Health from the Yale University School of Medicine, a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York, and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Michigan.
