NetCarrier, a privately held provider of cloud communications and AI-powered voice automation for small and mid-sized businesses, announced on 17 September 2026 the appointment of Jason Ruth as Chief Revenue Officer. Ruth assumed the role effective July 13, 2026.

Ruth brings more than 25 years of technology sales and channel leadership experience spanning cloud communications, SMB and enterprise technology, and partner-led go-to-market strategy. In his new role, he is responsible for driving NetCarrier’s long-term revenue growth and market expansion, with oversight of sales, customer success, marketing, revenue operations, partner programs, agent relationships, Technology Service Distributors, and the company’s expanding wholesale and white-label initiatives.

Ruth most recently served as Director of Sales, East at C1, where he led a team of client executives focused on AI-powered communications, infrastructure, security, and services. Throughout his career, he has held senior sales and channel leadership roles at Fusion Connect, Vonage, 8×8, Mitel, Broadsmart, Ascom, and Windstream Enterprise.

His experience includes building and leading direct and indirect sales organizations, developing agent, VAR, MSP, and TSD channels, expanding strategic partner programs, and aligning sales execution around recurring revenue growth.

“Jason brings the right blend of channel leadership, sales discipline, and communications technology experience to help NetCarrier scale its next phase of growth,” said Doug Derstine, CEO of NetCarrier. “His deep understanding of partner-led sales models and his ability to align teams around measurable revenue outcomes will be particularly important as we expand our communications and AI-powered automation portfolio through the channel.”

“I’m excited to join NetCarrier at an important point in the company’s evolution. NetCarrier has a tremendous opportunity to build on its established cloud communications platform while bringing AI-powered voice automation to businesses and partners in a practical and meaningful way,” said Ruth. “I’m also excited to work with Doug again after first working together earlier in my career and to help build a partner-led go-to-market strategy that creates new opportunities for our channel community and the customers they serve.”
