Josh Goyne Named Chief Executive Officer of Branch

Branch, a 100% employee-owned construction company serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States, recently announced that Josh Goyne has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective August 17, 2026.

Goyne brings more than 25 years of experience in the highway, rail, underground and renewable energy construction industries, including more than 15 years in senior and regional management roles. Throughout his career, he has led large, complex construction operations with a focus on operational performance, strategic growth, organizational development and building high-performing teams.

“Josh brings the combination of field experience, operational discipline and strategic leadership that we believe will serve Branch well as we continue to grow,” said Ron Oakley, Branch chairman of the board. “He understands our industry from the ground up and has a demonstrated ability to strengthen businesses, develop people and create long-term value. Just as importantly, he understands the responsibility that comes with leading an employee-owned company and the importance of putting our employee-owners, clients and communities at the center of our decisions.”

Goyne’s career has included leadership positions across several major infrastructure and construction organizations. As Chief Operating Officer of Lane Construction, he was responsible for the operational turnaround of a $1.2 billion business spanning multiple sectors and geographies. During his tenure with Webber, a Ferrovial company, he held progressively senior leadership roles, including President of its Heavy Civil Division, where he oversaw an approximately $800 million business and focused on strategic growth, talent development, project delivery and operational consistency.

Earlier in his career, Goyne held project and operational leadership roles with AUI Contractors, Austin Bridge & Road and Kiewit Construction, giving him experience across virtually every level of construction operations.

“Branch has a strong reputation, a talented team of employee-owners and a culture built around ownership and accountability,” said Goyne. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead the company and build on that foundation. I look forward to listening, learning and working alongside our teams to serve our clients, strengthen our communities and position Branch for continued success.”

Goyne holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed the Global Management Program at ESADE Business School.

As CEO, Goyne will lead Branch’s enterprise strategy and operations as the company continues to expand its capabilities and presence throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.
