CBX Solutions, a leading distributor of specialty building products and solutions, recently announced the appointment of Travis Hendren as Chief Executive Officer, effective August 31, 2026.
Mr. Hendren joins CBX Solutions with nearly three decades of leadership experience focused on the building products and specialty distribution industries.
Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Gypsum Management and Supply, Inc. (GMS), one of North America’s largest specialty building products distributors. In that role, he oversaw operations across more than 340 distribution centers and 100-plus retail locations throughout the United States and Canada, with responsibility for a multi-billion-dollar business and more than 7,000 employees. Prior to serving as COO, Mr. Hendren held several senior leadership positions at GMS, including President of GMS Canada and Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy.

Prior to GMS, Mr. Hendren spent almost two decades in investment banking, where he advised building products and construction materials companies on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate strategy initiatives.

Mr. Hendren brings extensive experience leading large-scale operations, executing strategic growth initiatives, and integrating acquired businesses. During his tenure at GMS, he helped drive significant revenue growth, expanded complementary product offerings, led numerous acquisitions and greenfield expansions, and developed organizational capabilities across North America.
Platinum Equity acquired a majority interest in Cook & Boardman, now CBX Solutions, in 2023. Littlejohn & Co., LLC remains a significant minority shareholder.
