Books-A-Million, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Brandon Waters to Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective immediately. Waters will now lead the company’s technology strategy and initiatives.
Since rejoining Books-A-Million in June 2024 as Senior Vice President of IT, Waters has overseen key digital implementations for Financials, Supply Chain, and Merchandising while supporting existing systems, driving efficiency and innovation.

With extensive experience, including a large-scale systems rollout and transformations at Milo’s Tea Company and over 15 years at BAM!, Waters has played a pivotal role in the company’s e-commerce, mobile app, and loyalty program launches. As CIO, he will continue leading project management and BI teams, fostering collaboration on IT initiatives, including advancements in AI.
