The first-ever artificial intelligence in Europe to act as CEO of a company was recently announced by Hunna Technology, a UK-based health tech startup. A hybrid system, based on the new simple algorithm of mathematics, combines AI and human intelligence to be more than just a chatbot.
Artificial Intelligence and Human Expertise can effectively collaborate through IndigoVX, a product of Hunna Technology. Imagine a chess game where one person sets the level goal and artificial intelligence determines optimum moves, with each party constantly refining their strategy together.
The inspiration for a supervised AI as CEO came from Steve Jobs, who famously said: “It doesn’t make sense to hire smart people and then tell them what to do. We hire smart people, so they can tell us what to do.”
AI as CEO
Before announcing its promotion to CEO, Hunna tested the IndigoVX AI system for twelve months with a view to ensuring safety and legal compliance.
“I stepped down as CEO in July because I believe an AI supervised by humans can outperform me.”, said co-founder Ahmed Lazem, “She hasn’t failed us.”
“The IndigoVX AI system has consistently surpassed our expectations – it’s blown our minds,” says Dr Kais Dukes, CTO and co-founder of Hunna Technology. “The AI CEO has successfully identified under-explored markets, optimized resource allocation, and accurately forecasted consumer trends, with an over 90% successful decision rate.”
The successes of the AI to date are :
Determine an appropriate and reasonable business strategy capable of being executed by the founders
Identify the idea for a start-up
Provide key research to accelerate their nationwide deployment of Medical Artificial Intelligence in the United Arab Emirates
Select the first destination market as the United Arab Emirates
Working with AI on a daily basis for all business aspects
Hunna’s mission has been to utilize the power of AI while maintaining safety and accountability through constant supervision by humans.
We consider it a strength that our AI CEO is not fully automated, not a weakness. Therefore, we deem it reasonable to grant the system a CEO position since it is definitely algorithm dependent and therefore has no human component. Calling IndigoVX CEO is not only giving the system a title but also automating part of the CEO’s role, to guide the overall business operations.
